A professional designer for many years Annie decided to spend more time painting and drawing and less time in front of the Mac. In 2002 started Botanical painting, with
exhibitions soon following in the USA, London and Europe and she has work in public collections including the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, The Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation, Pittsburg and many private collections in the UK, Europe and the USA. The artists work has been selected for inclusion in The Highgrove Florilegium. In 2006 she had a solo exhibition in France and she continues to exhibit as well as undertaking commissions. All her paintings are from live specimens, painstakingly observed with drawings and studies and the subjects are transformed into acurate and luminescent three dimensional paintings - from tulips to cabbages, exotic and familiar plants. Paintings are on paper and some on vellum.
