Activities:
In a hypothetical industrial microcosm, the paintings of Biagi reproduce the existential exile of the workers, the inevitable sacrifice of man, the danger of toxic environments. The factory is life and death, chance and denial, is the place where man gives up his freedom for the perpetuation of the species and where the individual becomes part of a collective mechanism. However, the time and the habit of returning to the individual a sense of security and familiarity. The feelings of hate and love blend in the same mighty buildings, which stand like fortresses and become a shield, an impregnable refuge to the precariousness of life. Dino Buzzati, in his famous short story, using the term loosely Barbican, describing a glimpse industry. The term, which originally referred to the fortified part of a fortress or castle, becomes a synonym for factory, industrial structure. The image that expresses Buzzati is reflected in the pictorial work of Biagi, which will adopt the name to represent its ferrous ramparts.
