Bio / Resumee / Statement:
Geboren 1944 in Bremen. Von 1958 bis 61 Lehre auf der Schiffswerft. Bis 1963 mit Lungen-Tbc in Krankenhäusern und Sanatorien, bis 1966 Pneumothorax. Von 1964 bis 66 Studium an der Staatl. Kunstschule Bremen. Seit 1966 freier Schriftsteller, Illu-strator, Grafiker, Maler. Lebte in Worpswede, Hamburg und Berlin. War u.a. als Anstreicher, Restaurator, Theaterstatist, Siebdrucker und Stadtplanzeichner tätig. Arbeitete für Zeitungen und Zeitschriften, für den Rundfunk, kuratierte Aus-stellungen. Erhielt zahreiche Preise und Stipendien. Studienreisen nach Israel, Finnland. Von 1980 bis 2011 Redakteur der Zeitschrift für Literatur, Kunst und Kritik „die horen“. Ausstellungen und Beteiligungen in Ahlen, Berlin, Bremen, Bremerhaven, Bonn, Düsseldorf, Flyinge/Schweden, Gdansk/Polen, Hamburg, Hannover, Husum, Kiel, Köln, Lübeck, Natanya/Israel, Papenburg, Potsdam, Remscheid, Rostock, Sarajevo/Bosnien Herzegowina, Vilnius/Litauen, Wilhelmshaven, Worpswede. Bilder in privaten Sammlungen und öffentlichem Besitz. Lebt seit 1986 in Düsseldorf.
