Statement:
Die Fotografie hat die Kunst von der Sklaverei des Realismus befreit.

Bio / Resumee / Statement:
Stephan von Vegesack sucht oder komponiert Motive mit surrealem Charakter, welche er im Foto festhält. Er fotografiert sowohl klassisch (analog) als auch digital. Die Bilder werden anschliessend mit Bildbearbeitungs-Software nachbearbeitet. Durch farbliche Verfremdung und Manipulationen tritt der den Motiven inneliegende Charakter stärker hervor. Trotz bunter, plakativer Farben entstehen so Bilder von eindringlicher atmoshärischer Dichte.

Die Werke werden als Print auf Fotopapier, Alu-Dibond oder auf Büttenpapier in kleinen Auflagen (5 bis 30 Stück) reproduziert.
Die Prints haben durch nachträgliche Bearbeitung oft Unikat-Charakter.

Stephan von Vegesack lebt und arbeitet in Düsseldorf.
