Statement:
I am Brussels, Belgium born-currently living in Los Angeles. My mentors were George Herms, Wallace Berman and Al Hansen-late Fluxus performance and visual artist. I am primarily self-taught, making selfportraits with pinup painting collages on canvas and expressionist acrylic paintings of old los angeles and chinatown building structures, to preserve disappearing southern california architecture. My works are very personal in nature-I am a child of holocaust survivor parents from Poland. My mother got me into show-biz at the age of 4 upon our emigration to East Los Angeles from Europe. I've always had a dual career-visual/performance art and working union actor in film/tv/commercials and stage. My first love is painting and participating in the artworld-have been showing in museums and galleries for 40 years in the US, Europe and Japan. Am a 6 times grants recipient. In Los Angeles, I am represented by L2kontemporary-Chinatown, Jack Fischer Gallery-San Francisco, Elaine Levy Project-Brussels, Davis Museum-Barcelona
