Cheenu Pillai is a chennai based artist.

Unlike the usual profile of artists, Cheenu went to management school rather than a Art school. After spending his early years in Investment Banking and Software, Cheenu became a full time artist.

His background in systems is reflected in his format of painting which is a blend of structured cubism and orphism. Though his style is European, his themes usually revolve around indian concepts, especially Hindu mythology
