Bio / Resumee / Statement:
Geboren am 5.8.1959, aufgewachsen in Wien als Sohn einer bürgerlichen Arbeiterfamilie, fühlte sich schon ab Kindesbeinen der Malerei hingezogen.

Das schöpferische Talent im Bereich bildender Kunst, welches möglicherweise durch das fernverwandtschaftliche Verhältnis mit dem Maler Alfred Kubin seine Wurzeln begründet, wurde zwar allseits erkannt, doch entsprechend der damaligen allgemeinen Einstellungen, Entwicklungen und Ansichten über ein künftiges �Berufsleben� kaum nennenswert gefördert und nach Abschluss der AHS eine Karriere in der IT-Branche begonnen.

Doch die Affinität zur bildenden Kunst überdauerte die Jahrzehnte des Brachliegens der offenbar eigentlichen Berufung und durch glückliche Umstände und wegweisende Begebenheiten, wurde in den letzten Jahren wieder intensiv mit dem künstlerischen Schaffen in der Malerei begonnen.

Der derzeitige Schwerpunkt umfasst abstrakte, experimentelle und visionäre Werke in Acryl, Öl wie auch gegenständliche Darstellungen in Aquarell- und Mischtechniken.

Speziell hervorzuheben ist die Entwicklung der einzigartigen Technik der Herstellung dreidimensionaler und strukturierter Bilder; - die �Dritte Dimension� wird in subtiler und mahnender Weise in �Apokalyptischen Zukunftsvisionen� manifestiert. WP sieht sich damit als Grenzgänger zwischen experimenteller Kunst und plakativen Endzeitvisionen.
