Ihre Kindheit verbrachte sie mitten in der Natur, umgeben von Antike, Kunstgeschichte und Folklore. Diese Erlebnisse hinterließen einen bleibenden Eindruck und förderten ihre Neigung zur Kunst.
Nuray Turan setzt bei ihren Bildern unterschiedliche Techniken ein.
Sie versucht die Betrachter ihrer Bilder auf die Probleme der unterdrückten und der Gewalt ausgesetzten Menschen aufmerksam zu machen.
