Statement:
My painting is a reflection of my inner life. Since I prefer not to talk about my feelings, I paint. I consider color, one of my primary concerns, powerful. Strong color helps create the kind of emotional statement I want to make. The abstract figures and masklike heads rarely interact with each other or the world around them. The characters are true loners.
My primary medium is oil paint because I feel that it can create a raw, uncontrolled atmosphere.
