BIOGRAPHY
Born in Malatya in 1961. Her interest for painting began with the direction of AYDAN ÖZEL and this interest continued in high school. She problematized the problems that she observed in Malatya and Istanbul as two different cities and cultures where she passed her childhood. She studied in Bilsak workshop between the years 1994-99 and then she became a student in the workshop of YUSUF TAKTAK called “ATÖLYE ÃœÇGEN”. In 1997, she made her first exhibition. She became the member of the administration of UPSD in 2003-2004. And she became the consultant in the opening exhibition called “Genç Açılım” of Pera Musuem. In addition to the duty in UPSD she took the responsibilities in important galleries, international art fairs and contemporary art magazines. She made twenty two exhibitions so far. She participated in lots of international group exhibitions and biennials. She still continues her works in her own workshop.
According to Kendirci, art should carry social responsibility and therefore her art takes its energy from the center of life. She uses different materials in her paintings such as plastic, tinplate pieces and glass. She is known with the works made by organic materials and elements. Kendirci live in Istanbul- TURKEY
