Statement:
I am a sculptor working in a range of materials and creating a diverse body of work that includes indoor and outdoor sculpture, custom metal furniture and decorative metal work. In my recent sculptures, I have been combining stone and metal to create intricate figurative and abstract compositions that express themes of transformation, growth, balance and movement. I see the combination and integration of diverse materials like marble, steel, bronze and stainless steel as a metaphor for the way that diverse communities combine and exchange ideas.
