Statement:
Duty Gorn - philosophy
Distracted faces celebrated right before the discovering of the souls. In his paintings full of passion the chromatic statements try to catch the precision of a line that accumulates the several expressions of a muse.
A sudden “New Yorker pop light” interrupts the foregone representation of daily actions. The emotional adventure is transferred on the canvas. Shadows seam to chase the line that draws the eyes wile exalting the depth of the glance.
The light vanishes the sensuality of the lips, and the hair speaks about hands that touch one another while playing on the bodies. It is the testimony of an encounter.
Tempera, acrylic, shining and matte colors create the contrast. There is a shy but at the same time arrogant expressive will. The moment is elusive and for this reason the attempt to catch it is so incredibly magic and fascinating.
Bio / Resumee / Statement:
Guido DutyGorn, Italian street artist, starts to paint in 1994 when he is only 14 years old beginning a career that gives him immediately many acknowledgements at a European level.
He wins several writing contests in Milan and throughout Italy and very soon he starts to express himself on large canvases with acrylics, tempera and markers going on to Barcelona, Zurich and Amsterdam.
Represented by Spazio Pontaccio in Brera Milan since 2004 and winner of the Campari contest “Campari Mixx for Art” in 2005, the young artist has done several exhibitions at Triennale in Milan, Teatro delle Erbe in Milan, Rojo Gallery in Milan, Rojo Gallery in Vienna, Inoperable Gallery in Vienna, Puzzle 4 Peace in Bratislava and in famous locations such as Plastic, Straf Hotel, Entreprise Hotel and La Banque in Milan.
Further more he has participated to big brands events with paintings and performances such as Verte, Montblanc, Salone del Mobile 2006 and 2007, Marcel Wanders, Puma Collection, Classic Life and Campari.
In November 2009 he is one of the protagonists of New York Biennale Art where he will asseverate his talent with one of the most extraordinary installations in July and August 2010.
