Statement:
Kunst ist ein Prozess, der zunächst von außen nach innen dringt, dort vom Gehirn gefiltert und verarbeitet wird und über das Kunstwerk wieder zurück zum Betrachter strahlt.
Dabei muss der Betrachter nicht zwangsläufig das gleiche geistige Erlebnis wie der Künstler haben, da ja beim Betrachter wieder derselbe Wahrnehmungsablauf von außen nach innen mit der Filterung durch das Gehirn und die eigenen bis dahin gemachten Erfahrungen stattfindet. Jeder Betrachter kann zu einem anderen Ergebnis in Bezug auf das betrachtete Werk kommen.
Diesen Prozess empfinde ich als sehr willkommen, weil das Kunstwerk dadurch eine immer vielschichtigere Bedeutung bekommt. Jeder Betrachter bereichert das Werk durch seine Betrachtungsweise.

1950 geboren in Günzburg/Donau

1971 Abitur in Günzburg

1972-1974 Geographiestudium in München,
später tätig als selbständiger Kaufmann,
als Techn. Zeichner in einem Architekturbüro,
derzeit als Kunsterzieher an einer Realschule

Seit Anfang der 70er Jahre als Autodidakt
eingehende Beschäftigung mit Malerei und
altmeisterlichen Maltechniken

1986-1990 intensive Auseinandersetzung mit
Radierung und anderen Drucktechniken

seit 1990 Acryl- und Ölmalerei in fotorealistischer
Malweise

seit 2004 Farbzonenmalerei in Acryl und Intagliotypie
(Photopolymertiefdruck)

seit 2009 Graphitzeichnungen
