Bio / Resumee / Statement:
Die Ausbildung in der elterlichen Goldschmiede und dem Juweliergeschäft prägten Christa Hartmann geb./1945 in ihrer Liebe zur Kunst. Da war zunächst der Werkstoff Metall mit seinen einzigartigen Bearbeitungsmöglichkeiten, der bald auch Impulse stiftete. Die Künstlerin entdeckte die abstrakte Malerei für sich und die gestalterischen Freiräume, in die sie sich mehr und mehr vertiefte. Es folgten Workshops an der europäischen Kunstakademie in Trier. In den 90er Jahren wurde dann neben der Malerei auch die Schmuckgestaltung zu einen schöpferischen Arbeitsfeld. Bei der Dokumenta X war Christa Hartmann mit einer Sammlung von Kompositionen unter den Titel \\\" TEMPUS FUGIT \\\" präsent.

An der Göttinger Georg-August-Universität angagierte sie sich seit 1998 in der künstlerischen Konzeption für den Alten Botanischen Garten und ist seit 10 Jahren in der Orangerie des Alten Botanischen Garten der Universität Göttingen mit einer jährlichen Ausstellung present.

Gefragt sind ihre Arbeiten in den Projekten von Architekten,Werbeagenturen, Banken und Hotels.

\\\"Mich reizt der Balance-Akt im Erforschen von Gegensätzen und kontrastierten Elementen\\\", fasst Christa Hartmann ihr künstlerisches Credo zusammen. Die Vision ihrer gemeinsamen Korrespondenz in einer vielstimmig verdichteten Form.

\\\"Ich entwickle dabei die Gewohnheit, in Bildern zu denken und ihre Wirkung zu sondieren\\\", erklärt sie, \\\"die Signaturen von Rhythmus, Atem und Klang Motive und Element, die sich dann auch auf der Leinwand materialisieren, sei es in Gestalt einer Collage oder als novellistische Farbphantasie.\\\"

Christa Hartmanns Farbsprache braucht keine realistischen Räume und keine verbindlichen Zeichen. In der Abstraktion Ihrer Acryl-Gemälde schafft sie sich und dem Betrachter die Freiräume in denen sich ungehindert assoziieren läßt. Sie bekennt sich zu diesen Momenten der Leichtigkeit des Seins, die immer auch das Loslassen von vertrauten Formen und Sehwegen meinen.

Wo Linien und Rundungen, kantige Flächen und ausufernde Pinselschwünge sich zu einer impulsiven Kulisse verdichten.
