Statement:
In meinen Arbeiten verfolge ich den scheinbar utopischen Gedanken an eine bessere Welt. Die Frage nach dem Sinn des Lebens ist die Sehnsucht, welche uns heimsucht, weil wir uns selbst das Vertrauen entzogen haben, als Subjekte einer Vervollkommnung
dieser Welt zu gelten. Der fantastische Glaube an eine gerechte Welt durch das
Einschreiten einer höheren Macht, gibt uns die Hoffnung, welche wir scheinbar brauchen.
Ich mache mich auf die Suche nach dem Verstand, dem Sinn der Existenz, der
offensichtlich in unserer Zeit verloren gegangen ist. Meine Arbeiten beschreiben den
Beginn eines Irrwegs einer durch Vorurteile gezeichneten Gesellschaft. Die einzelnen
Werke stehen für das, was uns durch das Huldigen an einen multimedialen Glauben
verborgen bleibt.
Der Ursprung meiner Arbeiten findet sich in meinen audiovisuellen Erfahrungen, z.B.
aus Filmen, Fotos, Berichten, Worten, Musik und Träumen. Aus der Selektion und
Kombination eben dieser Wahrnehmungen entstehen meine Bilder. Vorhanden sind
Tragödie, Zustimmung und Revolte, scheinbar Banales und Ausgefallenes.
Meine Momentaufnahmen sind immer auch Zeugnisse vom eigenen, inneren Steinbruch, auf dem sich Körper, Linien und Flächen imaginierter Traumwelten abbilden.
Ich vermische Traum und Wirklichkeit, scheinbare Widersprüche füge ich zusammen.
Jedes noch so unscheinbare Detail wird zur Zünd- oder Nabelschnur.
Die unfassbare Vielfalt von Eindrücken lässt hierbei immer wieder Neues erwachsen,
weil das Ganze nicht darstellbar ist, bleibt noch viel zu sagen...

1989-1991 Ausbildung zum Theatermaler, Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, Düsseldorf
1991-2000 Theatermaler, Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, Düsseldorf
seit 2000 lebt und arbeitet als freier Künstler in Düsseldorf
seit 2000 künstlerische Zusammenarbeit an Filmproduktionen im In- und Ausland
Mai 2009 Gründung des Sinnkoerper-Projektes
