Dominique Brunzlik wurde 1973 in München geboren und ist eine zeitgenössische deutsche Künstlerin mit tschechischen, friesischen sowie indianischen Wurzeln.

„Gemischte Welten“ in der zeitgenössischen Kunst von D. Brunzlik

Künstlerisch geprägt seit Jugendzeit und schon früh mit unruhigem Geist auf der Suche nach tieferen Einblicken in das Leben und menschliche Dasein - die Kindheit in einem unkonventionellen Elternhaus und verschiedenen „Welten“ hat die Persönlichkeit und Kreativität der zeitgenössischen Künstlerin Dominique Brunzlik stark beeinflußt. Über viele Jahre beschäftigte sie sich mit den verschiedensten künstlerischen Ausdrucksformen, einschließlich Malerei und klassischer Fotografie. Gleichzeitig ist sie ein Kind der modernen Computer-Zeit, hat das Entstehen neuer virtueller Welten miterlebt und ist tief in sie eingetaucht.

Ende 2009 entstand die Idee zu einem neuen Kunstprojekt und mit der Realisierung von „Paradiso Figurale“ im Jahr 2010 schloß sich der Kreis. Malerei, Fotografie, Computerkunst sowie Multimedia Art verbanden sich zu einer gemeinsamen Welt, um bisherige Grenzen zu überwinden und die permanente Veränderung des Lebens zu reflektieren:
„Ich lasse mich gerne von und in meiner Phantasie treiben - viele meiner Bilden entstehen intuitiv, obwohl es für die meisten Werke auch ein kognitives Konzept gibt. Aber wie im realen Leben mischen sich Gefühl und Verstand und so ist – entsprechend dem Eisberg-Prinzip - meine Emotion letztlich die entscheidende Grundlage und die Ratio nur die Spitze des Eisberges.“

Die Kunst von Dominique Brunzlik spiegelt dabei gleichzeitig die zunehmende Vermischung von virtueller und realer Welt in unserer Zeit, will diese - nicht immer positive - Entwicklung in einer konstruktiven, befreienden Kunst einsetzen. Dabei legt die Künstlerin in jeglicher Hinsicht den Schwerpunkt auf eine „freie“ und „befreiende“ Kunst, welche das Bewusstsein und die Wahrnehmung des Betrachters für sich selber und seine eigene Phantasie in Wechselwirkung mit der ihn umgebenden realen Welt wieder öffnen und schärfen soll.

Ganz im Gegensatz zur Immersion - also dem Bewusstseinszustand, bei dem ein Mensch aufgrund einer fesselnden und anspruchsvollen virtuellen Realität die Verminderung der Wahrnehmung seiner eigenen Person erlebt – die nach Auffassung der Künstlerin letztlich zur Aufgabe der Selbstbestimmtheit, nachhaltiger Manipulation durch Andere und einer Art von „Versklavung“ des Menschen führen dürfte. Entsprechend sind ihre Werke eher vieldeutig und lassen dem Betrachter Spielraum für individuelle Interpretation sowie persönliche Imagination.

Der moderne Mensch entfernt sich bereits über einen längeren Zeitraum immer stärker von der realen Welt und lebt zunehmend in einer „gemischten“ oder sogar überwiegend virtuellen Welt. Dominique Brunzlik will diese „gemischten Welten“ in ihrer Kunst nutzen, um Fesseln im Kopf zu sprengen, eigene Vorstellungen und Ideen besser zu manifestieren und andere daran teilhaben zu lassen –den Betrachter ein Stück auf ihrem Weg mitnehmen und ihm Anstöße zu geben, sich selber auf eine Reise in seine Phantasie zu begeben:
„Das Schöne an unserer Vorstellungskraft ist unter anderem, daß sie durch kleinste und zunächst unauffällige Dinge spontan angeregt werden kann – wenn wir es nur zulassen. Indem wir einfach wie ein Kind wieder unvoreingenommen auf Entdeckungsreise gehen, kann schon ein Stein, ein Schatten, eine Struktur am Boden oder im Eiszapfen, ein Blick in den Mikrokosmos unserer alltäglichen Umgebung das Ticket für eine aufregende Fahrt in unser ganz persönliches Phantasie-Universum sein.“

Dominique Brunzlik - a German artist of Czech, Bohemian, Friesian and Indian descent was born 1963 in Munich as the daughter of a photographer. She began making art as a child and used various forms for her expression. During her studies she concentrated on different techniques of figurative and abstract painting. She also has been photographing since her youth, influenced by her father. With her restless mind she is on a permanent search for new facet of and insights into life. With “Paradiso Figurale” she presents her artwork in 2010 for the first time to a wider public.

Paradiso Figurale - painting and photograpyh unite with digtal art into new worlds of images - often with surrealistic elements and anthropomorphic symbols - reflecting the permanent alteration and dynamic of existence:
