Bio / Resumee / Statement:
Zeichnen und Malen gehörte schon in frühester Jugend zu seinem Alltag.
Während seiner Schriftstzerlehre gewann er einen vielbeachteten, bundesweit ausgeschriebenen ersten Preis für den Entwurf eines Buchschutzumschlages zum Thema Huckleberry Finn.
Cibic lebte über 20 Jahre in Lausanne und Frauenfeld in der Schweiz, wo er für weltbekannte Maschinenhersteller für das graphische Gewerbe
als Vertriebsleiter europaweit tätig war.
Dem Ruf eines internationalen Maschinenherstellers folgte er und zog 1995 nach Leipzig.
Dort war zehn Jahre als Marketing- und Vertriebschef aktiv und bereiste berufsbedingt unzählige Länder dieser Erde.
Auf seinen vielen Reisen sammelt Cibic massenhaft Eindrücke, welche
in seinen meist farbenfrohen und unverwechselbaren Werken Niederschlag finden.
"...ich registriere auf meinen Wegen in nahe und ferne Länder soviel interessante Dinge; ich komme in Kontakt mit verschiedenen Kulturkreisen, deren bunter Welt und speichere diese Informationen und Impressionen.
Ich gehe mit offenen Augen durch diese Welt und entdecke ständig neue Motive, mit denen ich mich dann eingehend beschäftige und auseinandersetze.
Oft sind es nur Einzelheiten, scheinbar unbedeutende Wahrnehmungen und Momente, welche akkumuliert mit anderen Feststellungen etwas Ganzes ergeben und damit die Grundlage zu einem neuen Gemälde bilden", so Cibic.
Er bezeichnet seine Bilder als Ergebnis und Ausdruck von "Begegnungen".
Seine Techniken sind vielfältig und es gibt kaum einen Werkstoff, mit welchem er in den Jahren seines langen künstlerischen Schaffens, nicht schon in Berührung gekommen ist.
Sei es Leinwand, Papier, Seide, Glas, Holz oder Linoleum.
Die Kompositionen seiner Bilder zeigen deutlich, dass etwas Vollendetes immer aus vielen Einzelheiten zusammengefügt wird und die Farbintensität seiner Ausführungen lassen den mediterranen Ursprung des Künstlers erkennen.
Der Liebhaberkreis seiner Kunst umfasst inzwischen Bewunderer in vielen Ländern wie Japan, China, Singapur, Thailand, Malaysia, Korea, Taiwan, den Philippinen, Australien, Nordamerika und natürlich Europa.
Dazu haben nationale und internationale Ausstellungen beigetragen.
Im Auftrag eines Konzerns des graphischen Gewerbes hat Salich Cibic ein Kindermalbuch geschaffen, welches in Deutschland und Italien grosse Verbreitung erfahren hat.
Cibic betreibt heute ein Beratungsbüro für Marketing- und Vertriebsfragen, lebt und arbeitet nahe Leipzig in Colditz/Sachsen.
